Where we've gone!
With Joy and Sadness NOCAT members no longer meet to advocate for more and better cycling infrastructure. With Joy because the City of Vernon is actively seeking ways to build cycling infrastructure outlined in the OCP. Sadness because we miss comparing notes about facilities, improvements. dust, line painting and any number of issues we thought relevant.

Our vision is a more vibrant North Okanagan with cleaner air and a healthier population achieved through a transportation system which prioritizes bicycling and walking. We believe active transportation plays a critical role in enhancing our region’s environmental and economic sustainability.
Our goal is a North Okanagan which is world-renowned for recreational, sport, and transportation-oriented bicycling and walking. |

5. Promote the desirability of our downtown by improving access for people who walk and ride bicycles.
6. Provide education and encouragement to people of all ages and abilities who are new to or hesitant to adopt transportation-oriented bicycling. 7. Encourage employers to promote active transportation to and from work. 8. Coordinate with other local, provincial, and federal groups to provide a united voice in trail development. |
